Hi I'm Chelsea

I married a pirate. I have an appreciation for tacky lawn ornaments. I love to fly kites. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up loving "Anne of Green Gables" and dancing and singing around the living room with my sisters (which drove our brother crazy). My favorite game is connect four, and my favorite snack is sharp cheddar cheese with apples and crackers. I had a dream of becoming a professional Cache Valley cheese taster, but settled for a masters degree in Communication Disorders. I practiced as a Speech Language Pathologist, until I got in a prank war with a pirate that ended in matrimony. :) Since then, I have learned to appreciate college football, and the Arabic language more than I ever imagined I would. I couldn't be happier. I gave up my career of saying 'Say Rrrr' 1,000 times a day to spend my time loving my baby boy with hugs, kisses, and Dr. Jean preschool songs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the church of Jesus Christ. His way is the way of happiness, and happiness is the lifestyle for me. I believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved. I believe that we must love God by keeping His commandments, and love our fellowman by serving them. Sometimes members refer to the church as "the true and living" church of God. I know that the doctrines taught are the word of God. I can also see that the church is "living" as I see progress and growth through increased Temple worship, humanitarian effort, and missionary work-blessing the lives of our Heavenly Father's children.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed my involvement in church service from Relief Society to Nursery to Young Women's to Sunday School to Roadshow director. No job is unimportant in the Kingdom of God. Each person has something good to contribute to make the world a better place. However, I feel that my most important roles pertain to my relationships with others, particularly, my role as a wife and mother. I believe that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God. My husband and I feel great satisfaction in our marriage because we both strive to put the Lord first. We try to give 100% to serving each other and seeking ways to make each other happy. We share goals and dreams that we believe can be realized through virtuous living regardless of circumstances around us. We believe that being parents is our greatest blessing and responsibility. We look forward to having as many children as we can. Each child deserves to come to earth and be received by a loving mother and father who want to do all they can to help them reach their potential. We want to be that kind of parent.
