Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon. I have been in the Army for 10 years.

About Me

I have been in the US Army for 10 years. I was enlisted for 6 years before I commissioned. I enjoy being with my family more than anything else in the world. I love going outside. I have been married for eight years and have two children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been to just about every church that I can think of most protestant denominations Buddhist, Taoism, Catholic and Islam. I have looked at each one of them and examined what they offer in addition I thought about how they follow their holy books and how they make me feel. I prayed and talked with God and chose the one that makes the most sense, feels the best, and follows the teachings of the Bible. That church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have held a lot of different positions in the church. My favorite two callings in the church I have had are a teacher of children age 9 and the Adult Sunday School teacher. When I deploy it is always harder to live the gospel. However I always remember my children and my wife. We are will be married for not just this mortal life but for long after we are dead as well. That gives me the courage and desire to be a better person to avoid all the temptations and crap associated with being in a foreign country away from your family for long times.
