Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon. I am a CPA that works in the Animal Health Industry. We live outside of a small town on a few acres.

About Me

I grew up in the ranching business in Colorado and Oklahoma. I have worked for ranches, cattle feedlots, agricultural equipment manufacturers and distributors. I currently work for Animal Health International which is a wholesale distibutor of all types of animal health products plus miscellaneous other ag related products. I have an unusual educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a masters degree in accounting(MPA). I am also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. I have two children. My daughter is a special education teacher.. She rode horses and competed for 3 years of college at the NCAA division 1 level. She hopes to some day start her own hippo therapy business. My son served a mission in Montana. He has been back from his mission and going to college for about 2 years. He hopes to someday be on Broadway as a actor and singer. My wife currently is a mother and wife. She is a great piano player. She has been battling cancer of the Pancreas and Liver for several years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by my wife. It took me many years to join the church but as I learned more & more and eventually read the Book of Mormon I made the decision to join. It has been the best decision that I have ever made. Most people do not have an understanding of the purposes of life and how much the gospel can be a part of their life. As I learn and continue to grow in the gospel I continue to want to learn more. I have never been pressured or pushed and have felt very comfortable in progressing at my own speed. I have been given many opportunities to learn from callings I have held and continue to do so. If you are hesitant to take the missionary discussions, have a open mind and listen and learn and ask questions and when it is right you will be willing to be baptized.

How I live my faith

I try everyday to do my best to follow the scriptures and my church leaders. I am never perfect and have to regroup and work harder on some things. I have held callings as ward clerk, a member of the Bishopric, quorum teacher, Elders Quorum President, High Priest group leader, Young men's president and have been active in Boy Scouts. My son and myself were active in Scouts in a troup outside of the church. We had many opportunities to work with non members for many years. We had their respect and never had any problems because we were Mormons. I like to work with the Salvation Army bell ringing during the holidays. I don't always agree with everyone in my ward but I don't always agree with everyone outside of the church either. So there is really no difference, people are the same and we are all entitled to our own opinions and must live with any consequences of our actions.
