Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently married and a college student earning by bachelors in mechanical engineering. I am interested in cars and just about any cool mechanical object. I love the outdoors and like to spend time hiking to find anywhere with a good view.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. I had a life changing experience when I was praying about the Book of Mormon and felt the Holy Spirit confirm to me that that book is true. As I study more from the Book of Mormon and the Bible I get more confirmation from the Spirit that the doctrines taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true and that they are the same today as they were when Christ taught them when he was on the earth. I enjoy cross referencing the Bible and Book of Mormon because they both support each other and clarify doctrines. I just know that this church is true and that we have a living Prophet on the earth and twelve Apostles who are teaching the words of Christ in our day because God loves us just as much as he loved the children of Israel in biblical times.

How I live my faith

I like to study the scriptures every day and I start and end every day with a prayer to my Heavenly Father. This helps me to remember him every day. I try to find ways to serve other people around me whether it is something big or small. Every Sunday I participate in our worship services where we give talks and participate in classes where everyone has discussions about important principles taught by our Savior, Jesus Christ. I also have a position in the church that has me trying to help people how to do Family History work so they can learn about their ancestors. I had never tried to do this kind of work but now I have been taught how and it is fascinating learning about my families history.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Bob
We need a Savior because when we fail to follow all of God's commandments then we need a way to be forgiven for our sins. The Savior offers us a chance to be forgiven through repentance and then not committing that sin again. Show more Show less
