Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Oregon in the beautiful blue mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a wife, mom, and a grandma. I have been married for 33 years to my best friend. I enjoy doing jazzercise and playing the piano. Someday I hope to travel with my husband and visit many historical sights in the United States and go on a cruise to Alaska. My life is full of family, I enjoy helping when a new grandbaby is born or when my parents need help at their home. I also enjoy spending time with my husband as we begin and complete projects around our home.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life, it is a way of life that I love and helps me to be happy and joyful. Because I have answers to the questions of where did I come from, why am I here and where am I going, I can live without having to wonder. I know that I lived before coming to this earth with my Heavenly Father, I am a daughter of God. I am here on this earth because I understood that I needed to come here to recieve a body and to show that I could be obedient to the commandments of my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that I can live again after I die and I can live with my family forever. I know that there was a time when the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was taken from the earth and through Joseph Smith it was restored in its fulness. I know that the Book of Mormon is a book of scripture that was written for this time. It was written by people who lived on this continent and who were visited by the resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that my Heavenly Father has not left me alone to navigate this life on my own, he has called a man to be a prophet, one the Lord has ordained to lead and guide his children on the earth today just like Moses or Abraham, I know that man is Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

The Savior taught that we are to love one another and have charity which is the pure love of Christ, I try to serve as he would want me to. Reading the scriptures and praying for opportunities to serve help me to live the gospel. I have worked with the youth in various activites. I currently serve as the president of the women's organization for all women 18years old and older. We look for opportunities to serve in our community and help those in need.
