Hi I'm Kim

I'm a wife and mother of red-heads. I play volleyball, love to travel, and I help run a funeral home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I help run a family owned funeral home in my hometown. I enjoy playing sports especially volleyball. I love taking trips and discovering new things. I love being a mom and enjoy seeing my kids grow and develop their own talents. Hosting events and making memories with my family and friends is something I strive to do often. I'm a believer in enjoying life, not just enduring it.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is full of challenges, heartbreaks, and disappointments. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can overcome all of these adversities we face. Although I grew up in this church there was a turning point in my life where I had to make a decision to follow on this path or choose a different one. Many of my family members have fallen away from the church. With much prayer and thought I chose to follow on this journey and continue my membership. I can't imagine how my life would be without the blessings of the gospel. I believe in God, the eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I believe in the Bible and I believe we also have another testament of Jesus Christ found in the Book of Mormon. I believe that although people may not be perfect, I do believe that we can have a perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ and are blessed to have the guidance of living prophets and apostles today. In my lifetime, I have witnessed the warnings and guidance offered to us by our living prophets. It has saved me from making choices that ultimately would affect my happiness. I am especially thankful for tender mercies that God has given me and I know that I can be with my family forever. I believe in the power of prayer. In my most darkest hours I have called upon the Lord for guidance and He has always shown me the way. And in the happiest moments in my life I am on bended knee giving thanks to my Heavenly Father for the rich blessings He has given me.

How I live my faith

Growing up with a single mom was challenging, but she taught me a great deal of responsibility by putting herself through school and always taking me and my sister to church. I had a great support system of family members that taught me by example of how to live the gospel. I strive every day to live this gospel how my grandparents showed me and I want to have the kind of faith my grandmother had. I try to lead by example for my own children. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace of mind. Living the word of wisdom frees my life of addictions I otherwise could have in my life and keeps me motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am thankful for the examples all around me of how to be a better person. The gospel is very service oriented. Serving others has brought many wonderful blessings to me and my family. I truly love seeing youth of all ages developing their love for the Savior and see the gospel change their lives for the better. It is moments of serving in the gospel that I will always cherish and have made friends that will last beyond this lifetime. My testimony of living a Christ-like life always is inspired when I am serving others.
