Hi I'm Christopher

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona, just outside of Phoenix. Great parents and great siblings. I am the 6th child of 7 in my family - by the time my parents had me they became experts at being parents so it worked out well and I had a solid childhood. I moved to Austin, TX in August of 2004 just after I graduated from ASU. I met my wife in early 2007 and we were shortly married at the end of 2007. We are currently expecting our first child in a couple of months and are excited about being parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the teachings of the church are true. I know that God has a plan that allows us to be united as families beyond this life. I know that Jesus Christ is central to God's plan, and is our Redeemer from all of our imperfections. I know this by asking God if it is true through prayer and feeling the influence of God that it is true. This does bring responsibility but also alot of peace and happiness in my life. It truly is a blessing to me and my family by participating in the church teachings and applying them to our lives, and it is wonderful to know the purpose of life and the potential we have as God's children.

How I live my faith

The great thing about the church is the interaction I have by serving others. It is not about just showing up to church once every Sunday and listening to people speak. It is about applying the priciples of the gospel of Jesus Christ into my life daily. Really becoming a disciple of Christ. Live what is being taught not just hear. What is being taught - Loving God and loving and serving my neighbor.
