Hi I'm Bruce

I'm a husband, father (a family man) and currently the grandfather of 13 little ones. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a family man, a 57 year old father of 5 and grandfather of 13 (headed for 20). In my youth, I snow skied, water skied, served a mission in eastern Canada for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and have been working for the same company for 32 years. I hope to be able to serve humanitarian missions with my wife after retirement.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm grateful for two loving parents who taught me about Jesus Christ, His love for me and about His church on the earth. I was raised in the church. I leaned on my parents testimonies for many years. There came a time, around 18 years of age, when I discovered for myself that what I had been taught from my youth was true. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is His church. That Jesus Christ lives. That He knows and loves me. That there is a prophet of God on the earth today and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that the true church was restored through him. This is something I recorded when I was 19 years old: I love Christ more each day as I more fully understand His sacrifice for me. I must constantly strive to be that which He would want me to be so that I can be an example to others of His truth that I have.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in my community and specifically in my neighborhood. My neighbors know me and have come to depend on me to keep them informed. The quality of our lives is important so we band together as neighbors. I serve in my church. I help watch over the spiritual affairs of many congregations in our city. I enjoy teaching and have the opportunity of substituting for those that need my help. I try, when I see someone in need, to help others. I love my grandchildren and I look forward to the times that I'll have the opportunity to share my testimony with them. They will know that I love the Savior and that I love them.
