Hi I'm Jeff

I am a husband, a father to three great sons, and I work for the world's largest food company.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Utah where I learned to love the outdoors. I love spending time with my family and being outdoors. My greatest memories involve being with my family camping, hiking, playing paintball, playing at the beach, or just playing catch in the back yard. My family and I have moved 4 times in approximately 8 years because of my work. We have met some amazing people and seen some amazing places. We enjoyed the fried food and duck hunting of Arkansas, fell in love with the hiking and camping in Utah, enjoyed the blue grass and amazing horses of Kentucky, and the plentiful trees and water of Ohio. In every place that we have lived we have been welcomed by great people, and had instant friendships with great neighbors and members of our faith in the congregations we attend. We have found happiness everywhere we have lived, enjoying the culture, the places to see, and the amazing people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this faith since I was young. My conversion to this faith has come a little at a time, and often during moments of adversity. When I was 15 years of age my mother and sister were killed in a car accident. This tragic moment was one of a the defining moments in my life. We all have these moments that shape us and define us, moments where we can choose to act, or to be acted upon. This event and challenging years that followed allowed me to develop a relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ that has shaped my life, and will always be an anchor to me. I love this faith, the covenants I have made, and my membership in this gospel because it keeps me focused on what matters most. It teaches me that no matter what occurs, I have a choice, to do the right thing in all circumstances. The promise of this gospel and it's teachings is that we can have peace in this life and joy in the life to come. This has been fulfilled in my life time and again. We all have difficulty and hardships and I find amazing comfort in Christ's gospel and His teachings, and the promise that it holds.

How I live my faith

Each day I pray to my Heavenly Father to help me be the best husband, father, and leader that I can be. I believe that the best way to teach is living by example. I enjoy spending time with my family. We read scriptures together, pray together, and on Monday nights we set time aside to teach one another and to play games together. I also have the great opportunity to work with many in our congregation, including teenage youth helping them prepare to serve a two year mission, prepare for college, and for marriage. Additionally I am able to help many families and individuals develop stronger relationships, become their best, and draw closer to our Father in Heaven. Another great blessing of my faith is being able to serve. A service opportunity I will always remember was helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina in Gulfport Mississippi. At the time I was living in Arkansas and we were called upon to drive down on the weekends and help. We were able to clear debris, patch roofs, and cut down trees. The devastation was tragic, but we were able to help families get back into their homes and on with their lives. I enjoy being an instrument in the Lord's hands and being about His important work.
