Hi I'm Karisa

I am a wife and a mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Karisa and used to work at an elementary school as an aide in a special needs class. I am now working at a vinyl lettering company. I also provide Respite care for families with children who have disabilities. I love to read books and I love to watch my favorite professional basketball team play and also my husband. I am married to a wonderful man and he works for the fire department. I am attending school right now and I am on the waiting list for a Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church. I always grew up going to church and my family was always consistent with church attendance. Growing up, I relied on my parents testimony. Yet through out my life I have had experiences and trials that have helped me come to know of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have a testimony that there is a true and living prophet on the earth today that leads and guides us. I have a strong testimony in the blessings that we can receive through faithfully paying a full tithe. I know that if I pray to our Heavenly Father with real intent that he will answer my prayers. I am so grateful for temples and I am also eternally grateful that I am sealed to my husband for eternity. That even through death I will be able to live with him and my family again. I am grateful for the priesthood power. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith translated it. I thankful that I can have the Holy Ghost with me to guide me and prompt me when I am worthy of its presence. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ, my elder brother, lived on this earth. He taught, blessed, and healed people who believe Him. I also know that He died on the cross for me and for everyone. He gave his life so that we might live with Him and our Heavenly Father again. I know that my Savior knows me and loves me.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I work in the nursery. This is were children that are 18 months to 2 years old come while their parents are being taught. In the nursery we also teach the children. We teach them about Christ and eternal families. These small children have such sweet spirits. In my ward I also have the opportunity to work with the girls ages 8-11. When girls are in that age limit they become apart of Achievement Days. I love working with these young girls and helping them strengthen their testimonies and grow. I also participate in visiting teaching. This is were my companion and myself visit other ladies in the ward. During visiting teaching we give a lesson and visit with the sister and find out her needs and give her aide whenever it is needed.
