Hi I'm Erin

I am the oldest child. I love animals, math and Germany, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Sister Carroll. I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in the Frankfurt Germany mission. I love the church and Christ and I love finding ways to become more like Christ. I have five younger siblings and I love being with them. It is so much fun to strengthen my relationship with them. I love basketball and animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a Mormon. Many would ague that I never had the choice to be Mormon, but it was forced upon me and that is why I am a Mormon. Those people would be wrong. True, I was forced to go to church a few times when I was younger, but never when I was older. I choose to go to church every week because of the feelings I get when I am there. Because I am a Mormon, I know that there is a reason I am here. I don't have to feel feelings of pointlessness. I have a specific reason I am here and certain things happen to me, just like everyone else. I never have to feel like I am alone or without purpose. Because I am a Mormon, I know that the family I have now will be with me in the eternities. I will never loose them. I never have to worry that when my family members die, they will be gone forever. Because I am a Mormon, I know that I have an Elder Brother, Jesus Christ, who loves me very much. I never have to feel feelings of pain or loneliness, or guilt, or fear. I know that my Savior suffered more pain than I could ever imagine just so I would have to imagine it. And even though these feelings still may come, I have a way to fight them. I am a Mormon. I know things that can make the suffering and pain go away. I know that God loves me and that I can talk to Him just as I would talk to my dad. I know that this life is not the end and that I can ask for help on this earth any time I want just by saying a prayer. I am a Mormon for that reason; to know that I can get answers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. Being the oldest, I always am being watched and I know that it is not just by my siblings. I start every morning with a prayer and scripture study. I wear modest clothes even at home. Currently I am choosing to go on a mission for my church to teach people about my faith and why I live it. I have the opportunity to go to church every week and participate in various church activities. I strive to just simply be kind. When Christ was on the earth, he taught with words, but just as often he taught with works. I try to be that kind of person; one who speaks with my actions.
