Hi I'm Kimberly

I recently got married to my best friend. I am also attending a local community college for a business degree. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newlywed and going to community college to get a degree in business. I am actually morbidly obese and plan to get a lapband procedure in January to help me lose weight. I look forward to having more energy and starting a family with my honey. I moved a lot when I was young with my mom and sisters, and I became very close to them. I am currently trying to finish a novel- I love to write and read and go to the movies. I usually have my nose in a good spy novel. I also love to travel and witness other peoples' cultures. I have friends that are from all over the world and I can never get enough of their stories and hear about their traditions and food and language. Some of my favorite subjects include philosophy and science and math. I love asking questions and figuring out puzzles.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and loved Jesus Christ since I can remember. I always felt loved by my Heavenly Father even when times were really hard. As a teenager, I went back and forth- being good and being rebellious. The one constant that I always had was Heavenly Father. Even when I made bad choices I knew that He still loved me, and that made me want to better. Every time I went to Him He was there and that knowledge gave me a sense of direction and a feeling that there is something better in store for me. I gained my testimony when I was young, but there would have been many times that I would have fallen away and not come back if I had to rely solely on someone else's direction. I am stubborn and inquisitive and I asked all the hard questions I could think of. The beauty of the gospel is the personal relationship with Heavenly Father that it encourages. It's simple, bold, and inspired of God. I love my family. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) are all about Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, and family!! My family and I have been blessed beyond our imagination by our testimonies and faith in God. I have had many friends that are good people that are of other faiths, and I like doing geneology and finding people that lived hundreds of years ago. The gospel has a plan that allows every child of God the opportunity to be baptized and become closer to thier father in heaven. Everyone is invited. I love that!

How I live my faith

I, of course, am human and want to go directly to all the things I do wrong, but I do truly believe the gospel to be true and I am working at doing better at living it every day. I go to church with my husband. I love to attend the temple when I can because I always feel peace there. I don't drink alcohol, smoke tobacco, do drugs or cuss. I try to help people when I can, and be a positive energy to those I encounter. I make my family a priority. I try to avoid being too vain or insincere. I try to read scriptures daily, including the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I try to pray morning and night and before meals and any other time I'm feeling greatful or in need. I try to bend my will to His will.
