Hi I'm Pamela

I am an Aspiring Chef, I love to be around children, being an aunt and a kid at heart, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Pam and I love to cook. I went through culinary arts school in Seattle right out of high school and fell in love with food, I find it to be the best kind of art:) You can use all of you 5 senses while making it and enjoying it. I love music, and I love to dance. well not professionally ;) i love to just boogie. I love every kind of music from techno to classical, hip hop to oldies. Its all awesome. I am a part time nanny for a 4 year old boy and an almost 1 year old little girl. Its been the most rewarding job I have ever done. I have learned so much from taking care of a new born. When I first started I was so intimidated to hold a new born. Now I can take care of a baby all by myself. Seeing those kids smiles each day are worth more than the money I make to tend them. I feel its preparing me to be a mother someday. (which I so look forward to doing) I'm taward the end of a family of 6 kids. Four of my older siblings are married with children, which gives me the opportunity to be an aunt of 9 kids. I love each one with all my heart, and i love getting to know each one of my nieces and nephews as they come into the world. They fill my heart with so much joy. I love my family with all my heart, i couldn't ask for a better family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born into a good family, who already had the gospel. I didn't have to search for it and I feel so blessed for that. But it took my own effort to truly apply the gospel into my life. I grew up applying what I was taught by my teachers and leaders. But not to the fullest. Most of my years growing up, I didn't read my scriptures every day or pray every day like I was taught. I had times where id read the scriptures, but wouldn't fully understand what I was reading. Therefore, I wouldn't apply it and didn't benefit from the spiritual growth I needed. When i would go to church Id feel so alone, so excluded, and didn't want to go to all of church. Id dated some guys that either were not members or inactive members and made mistakes like we all do. But it was on Oct 11, 2009 when I was sitting in a sunday school class, and the teacher pointed out the scripture in D&C 82:10 Which says, "For I the Lord am bound when ye do what I say. But when ye do not what I say, Ye have no promise." I was so unhappy at that point in my life. When I heard that scripture, it was like a light went off in my head. I was not being blessed by the Lord with happiness because I wasn't even doing the little things that I needed to do every day to gain those blessings from the Lord. So I chose that day to make a commitment to the Lord that id pray and read scriptures every day. From that small decision, I have been blessed with so much happiness and joy and knowledge and a relationship with my heavenly father. Learning and growing lead me to use the saviors atonement to repent of things I've done wrong, and changed the direction in my life. Now I KNOW without a doubt that the Lord knows me and loves me. No matter what trials or hardships I go through, I know I can lean on my savior Jesus Christ to get though them. Being mormon is not just a religion... its a better way of life, an inner strength and knowledge that cannot be denied.

How I live my faith

I have been called to teach a class in my Young single adult branch. Its because of the changes I have made in my life that ive been blessed to teach the wonderful teachings that are in the Holy Scriptures.
