Hi I'm Mason

I was born in Utah. I am a missionary is Carlsbad, CA. Music is my passion. I know God is real and lives. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Mason. I'm a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the California Carlsbad Mission. I grew up in Utah. I have only moved once in my entrie life. Snowboarding and Rockclimbing are two of my greatest outdoor passions. My friends and I would snowboard and climb all the time before our missions. My older brothers are who got me into both of the sports. I am also a musician. I love music. I play the Violin, Piano, Guitar, and try to fiddle around on other instruments in my spare time. I graduated from High school in 2010. I did a year of college at Weber State University, where I played in the Symphony Orchestra, and then left on my mission. My family is really important to me. I love spending time with them. We like to have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? -- I have grown up in the Church, and the testimony that I have of the truthfulness of the gospel, which started from when I was a little child, has grown immensely and become my own. Previously in my life, there were times when I strayed away from the teachings of the gospel. I knew it was true, but there were times when I fell short of what my Heavenly Father expected of me. There was a point where, I realized that the path I was taking was not going to bring me happiness in my life. There was a specific night in my life where I knew that God needed me to serve a mission and that I needed to change, and so I did. Because of this experience, I have come to know that I have a loving, merciful and forgiving Heavenly Father who is never, ever going to give up on His children. I have learned even more that the Savior Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and has suffered specifically for me. I have received a witness from the Lord, through the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. And if the Book of Mormon is true, then the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ truly has been restored to the earth through a living prophet of God. I know that if someone prays about the Book of Mormon "with real intent, having faith in Christ, [our Father in Heaven] will manifest the truth of it unto [them] by the power of the Holy Ghost." I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, more that anything. And I love being a missionary!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each and everyday to be as the Savior, Jesus Christ. In no way am I perfect, but I try my best to be exactly who God wants me to be. I strive to live in a way in which my example will benefit others' lives. I love helping others with an attitude of love and a care for their wellbeing; that is when both those who I am serving and myself are uplifted. I love being a missionary.Bringing people the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings the greatest joy to you and to those who you serve! Living my faith is not easy, and I don't think it was meant to be-- but living my faith is enabling me to grow and learn for the better more than I ever could any other way.
