Hi I'm Madelyn

I live on a farm. I am a substitute teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy and outgoing person. My family is so important to me. Grandkids are the greatest! Knowing our family can be together through the eternities brings great joy to my husband and me. Farm life agrees with me and I enjoy the out of doors. Spending time on the ski hill is winter-time heaven. I love to bake, sew, knit, spin and weave. A large garden and preserving food takes a lot of my summer hours.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. Having a close and loving church 'family' brings me much peace and security. I know my church 'family' cares for me, will be willing help whenever I need. I have read and studied the Book of Mormon, as well as the Bible, and have received answers to prayer concerning their truthfulness. It is a great comfort to know that God has called a living prophet so guide us in these troubled times, just as He did for His children long ago.

How I live my faith

My sure knowledge of the truthfulness of the Church is the foundation of my life and influences every hour of my day. It colors all I do, say and think. I would be lost without it. having a certain faith in my church, I have a need to live out my faith in service. I currently teach in the Primary children's organization. Every Sunday I teach two of the sweetest 4-year-old twins. I have also accepted the responsibility for four of the women in our congregation. I visit with them often, help them in any way I can and encourage them in whatever goals they may be working on. I love these women and am grateful to be involved in their lives. I also enjoy helping others search out their family history. I love teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to others. My husband and I have been privileged to serve two full-time missions for the Church. Being good parents to adult children is a responsibility my husband and I take very seriously. The teachings of the church and the emphasis on families is a great support to us as we strive in this area. The answers I have found to the important questions: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? and Where am I going when I leave this earth? give me the direction and focus I need for happiness in my life and hope for the future.
