Hi I'm Kimber

I love the outdoors and learning about everything. Laughing is my favorite past-time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated with my B.S. degree in Exercise Science. I have ran in a half marathon and in the Ragnar, but I don't know if I will have the drive to go for a full marathon at this point :) I love everything to do with being outdoors, and trying new things. One thing I enjoy is making comics out of embarrassing or awkward moments so they are always engrained in my memory. Those moments are the best to look back on! I am the oldest of five girls, and have had the blessing of growing up in an incredible family. I am currently serving a mission in Ohio.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a family that is strong in the gospel. I was baptized when I was eight, and I have always glad I made that choice. As I have gotten older, my testimony of the truthfulness of the church has grown stronger. Although I have had trials and tribulations throughout my life, I have always been confident that I can turn to the Savior for peace and He will always be there for me. I have no doubt of Heavenly Father and Jesus' love for each one of us. I know that as we follow the gospel, we will be blessed with happiness and hope.

How I live my faith

I live by faith by trying to emulate Christ in everything I do. I dedicate time to building up the church, and I volunteer my time in service in the community. I have participated in building houses for those who are in need of shelter, and canning food for the hungry. I have organized social events for the church, as well as taught my peers on Sundays. I have tried to focus on looking around me to see what I can do to help others around me. I have noticed we are so much happier when we dedicated on helping others rather than when we are intent on pleasing ourselves. I never thought I would serve a mission, but in the last few months it has really hit me how much His gospel has blessed my life. How can I not share something that has made me so happy with others?! I LOVE devoting my time to serve as a missionary. Ohio is the best place in the world, by the way ;)

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Kimber
Growing up, I always thought of the Holy Ghost as a gentle tour guide, telling us the right way to go and warning us of danger. Although this is one of the Holy Ghost's main roles, I have found through searching the scriptures and through experience that the Holy Ghost does that, and so much more! Through the Holy Ghost I have felt comfort and peace during trials, found enlightenment and answers to my prayers, was lead to situations that have shaped my life and ultimately helped me become who I am today. This life can be difficult at times. The Holy Ghost has helped me to recognize when I need to change and has helped me to have the courage and strength to become more like Christ. Having the blessing of the Holy Ghost constantly is something I have come to depend on in my life. Show more Show less
