Hi I'm Marisa

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Provo. I love science and school. I am fascinated with learning.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my entire life. I am in High School, and would not have chosen to grow up anywhere else in the world! I want to get a PhD, and fly helicopters as a hobby when I am taller (I don't like saying old, but I'm hoping to get taller instead. :) I love reading and painting things, and am obsessed with Photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know there is no other thing to be. I was born into the faith, and enjoyed everything about the church. When I got into my teens, I would hear people in my school say that they were agnostic or atheist, and it didn't make sense to me because I knew in my heart that there was a living God, and I was taught that all throughout my childhood. I began to gain a deeper desire to know if the church was really true, so I committed myself to read the Book of Mormon and prayed for an answer to confirm what I wanted to know, and waited many years for the confirmation. It wasn't until I was half way through high school that I watched a General Conference session that it actually hit me that the answers were right in front of me. I never needed to doubt that it was there because I just couldn't see it at the time. The Lord was able to open my eyes and answer my prayers. I know that this church is true because there is no other way. Christ is the savior of the world, and I know that he cares about me and loves me.

How I live my faith

I am the leader of the young women in our ward. I have helped them during our weekly events and I sometimes teach the lessons in church. I also teach the 7-8 year old classes, and they are such a pleasure to teach! They know so much and are eager to tell me what they have felt and learned from the lessons.
