Hi I'm Joseph

I come from England but now live in Utah. I love playing the drums and making music. I enjoy games with friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in England. My main passion at school was music. I play the drums and electric guitar. I always wanted to be a rock star, tour the world with my own band and become famous. Later on, I served as a missionary in Canada for the church and soon learned that my life wasn't going to be what I had hoped for. I went to University to study computers and business and recently have gotten married and moved to Utah (USA) to start a new phase of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home. Both my parents were converts to the church before I was born. They taught me the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ when I was young. I was taught early on that I could and should find out for myself if the Gospel taught to me was true and God's truth. Over many years I've learned and applied the Gospel way of life and have never felt it was wrong. I did however feel it was right, time and time again. I know now what that feeling is. It is the gift of the Holy Ghost that I received when I was baptized at age 8. I gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Living the Gospel has blessed my life in so many ways, too many to mention all of them. But I'm glad for knowledge of God's plan for me and the purpose I have in life. The Book of Mormon has strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ and has made me want to live my life in a way that would please him.

How I live my faith

Simply put, I strive to keep the commandments of God. I try to be Christ-like in all my dealings. I am honest and trustworthy and don't take advantage of others. I listen to and follow the council of prophets and apostles and other local church leaders. I try to do all I can to honor my parents and serve others around me. At church I have helped organize youth events and service projects. I help teach classes when needed, and look for opportunities to help others. Of course, I'm not perfect, no Latter-day Saint is! But being a Latter-day Saint doesn't mean perfect, it's about trying your best to follow the example Jesus Christ. Each day I try to do something that brings me closer to him and to my Heavenly Father. I am thankful to my Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ for their love for me and letting me feel their love. Knowing they care for me has helped me over come trials in my life and gave me a desire to live a good life worthy of their love.
