Hi I'm Matthew

I grew up in Central Utah. I'm currently a software engineer for a company with international clients. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently employed as a Support Engineer at Steton Technology Group in St. George, Ut. My whole life, I have been interested in computers and how they work or why they aren't working. So, after leaving ACE Hardware to go to college, I started to work as a computer lab assistant at Dixie State College. Though not exactly my preferred career choice, I knew that it was a required step in planning for my career. I did my job and was happy about it. I tried to do the best job I could and have a good attitude towards any problem that arose in the hopes that my employer would see that I was eager to further my career as an IT Technician. Shortly after I started as lab assistant, I left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. When I returned, I approached my old employer and asked for a job. They were happy to hire me as an IT Technician. I was excited to be in the field that I had been hoping for. I did whatever I could to show my employer that I was happy to be there. I also learned the valuable lesson of asking coworkers for their input on projects. After 3 years, I was offered a better paying job in a slightly different field. The field of Software Engineering. I now work at Steton Technology Group in St. George, UT and I absolutely love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have ready both The Bible and The Book of Mormon. I have prayed about the scriptures and what I have been taught and find them to be true. I continually pray about these things in order to reaffirm their truthfulness to myself.

How I live my faith

I strive to do what is expected of me in my positions in the church as well as try to welcome others that join. I try to be a good informational reference to all of my friends and family that have questions about my religion and faith.
