Hi I'm Tanner Barnette

Born in Arizona. I'm a missionary, serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, wanna-be cowboy, music obsess-er and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ in Fort Worth Texas. I aspire to be a business entrepreneur/ pilot/ side job motorcycle mechanic who enjoys snowboarding, longboarding, and surfing no matter how skilled or not skilled i am at them. I surround myself with a great group of friends who are loyal till the end. I fill the silence of everyday life with music. Im very big on personal fitness and eating right. I swam competitively in high school and continue to swim to this day. I love to laugh, joke, and have a good time. I love throwing darts at a map and then travelling to that place. I've created a bucket list that i will complete by the time my head hits that dirt pillow. And I love everything about my life God has given to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because we believe firmly in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Through that, we are provided with a sure foundation for growth. We are here in this life to grow through experiences and trials. Through Jesus Christ, His gospel, and His example, the speed bumps of life become so much easier to handle and bare. With Him centered in my life; true living can be enjoyed, real happiness can be achieved, and pure love can be experienced.

How I live my faith

Faith is all that one can have. From a young age i was taught to love God and all His children. Our Father in Heaven has called us to act and to serve one another. He wants us to help, lift, and inspire those who are in need of it. I try to follow as closely to this as a can. Seeking, doing, and exploring is my description of living, but it's also my definition of faith. Through reading, praying, and doing the small things daily; I stand against any trial, tribulation, and situation knowing my Father in Heaven loves me and wants us to succeed in ever righteous desire. Every Sunday, under the direction of the Bishop, I happily greet all members and visitors walking in to worship with us. Looking for a small hand to help to find a class, or leading the music Sunday school has become a joy for me every week.
