Hi I'm Beth

I grew up in the Washington DC area - in Northern Virginia. I am working with youth on family history (genealogy). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I program distance learning (web) training. and perform technical (design) reviews for all aspects of training. I enjoy most kinds of music, reading, writing, nearly any science, history and learning new languages. I love being outdoors and nearly all animals. I wish I could travel more. I am just starting to get into photography. I love to sing. I sing to myself all of the time.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has been the source of happiness and refuge for me my entire life. With my family so distant now, my ward (congregation) family is a huge part of my life and my support. I continue to progress spiritually because, in part, of them. The church, its leaders and the scriptures are always there to help me remain strong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by heeding the counsel of our leaders and try to set an example of a believer to all around me. I am also working on my own family history (genealogy) and will be working with the youth in our ward (congregation) on their genealogy using the available technology. I hope to partner with the youth to help those adults who might not be as familiar with technology to help them do their own family history.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help all who need help. When members go to help areas stricken by disaster, they do not ask if you are a member. Thy do not refuse you aid if you don't believe the same as we do. They help all who need help rebuild homes, receive hygiene kits, fresh water, food etc., regardless of your faith. Show more Show less
