Hi I'm Devin

I snowboard, play the violin and tumble. I love to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love laughter. Laughing myself or making other people laugh brings me a lot of joy. One of my favorite things to do is go snowboarding with my brothers. I also played the violin for 13 years. I really love anything that requires jumping. I love to tumble (like gymnastics but only the floor part), and jumping on the trampoline. I love to go boating, especially wakeboarding. I love to read also. I'm the second oldest in the family, with an older brother, a little brother, and a little sister. Family time is the best time if you ask me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon with a sincere desire to know if it is true or not. As I read and prayed frequently, I found that my testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ was growing. I came to a knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints is true! this knowledge has blessed me every day since, and I truly am happy because of it! I know that there is no other way to be happy, only through Jesus Christ. I have a testimony of a living Prophet who is Gods' authorized servant, who leads and guides us so that we may know how to return to live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a 2 year mission in the California Roseville Mission. I truly believe that the Savior has commanded us to preach the gospel to all nations. In this mission I have opportunities to help out the community that I live in, but the main calling of a missionary is to teach the gospel to others and invite them to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored gospel through faith, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. That is my purpose. As I watch people do this, I can see the restored gospel bringing hope to them.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! I do believe that a living, breathing prophet is on the earth today. That prophet is Thomas S. Monson. I know he is a prophet of God because I have recieved many witnesses from the Spirit of God that he is a true prophet. I know that God is the source of all truth, and I know that we can only know of truths if God testifies of them to us through His Holy Ghost. We need a prophet just as much as the children of Israel needed Moses, as the world around us is different than it was during Moses' time. Show more Show less
