Hi I'm Eric

I'm a student, a husband, a future geologist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a current student at BYU-Idaho studying Geology. I grew up outside of Philadelphia in a small town called Gilbertsville. After high school I moved with my parents to Reno, NV. I then served a full-time mission to the Rostov-na-donu, Russia Mission. I then started studying my first love - rocks. Later I found my "new" first love - my wife Rachel. I love the outdoors and studying the processes that make our world look the way it does. I love riding and fixing bicycles and am a beginner gardener. I'm stoked to start my own family, own my own house, and grow the biggest watermelons.

Why I am a Mormon

I am here, right now. I do not live in the future or the past. I am making choices right now. Every choice I make has the potential to make me happy or miserable. I have long ago decided that I want to be happy. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is one of those choices. I have noticed that when I listen and follow the teachings of Christ I am a happier person. My days get brighter and I can see clearer. I love to read the scriptures. I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it. It made me happy. I know it is true.

How I live my faith

A great man once told me "If your plot in life seems lonely, build a service station on it." As I serve others I can feel God's love for me.
