Hi I'm Jenni

I'm the girl next door. I'm a cancer survivor. I'm great with kids & a kid at heart. I'm optimistic. I'm adopted.

About Me

Former medical office administrator & nanny who is now battling cancer, with the support of my family and friends. I also do a lot of volunteer work for/with kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After I got married (to an abuser) I became inactive...stopped going to chuch and following the teachings I was raised with. After 10 years of being married to this abuser, I didn't like how negative I had become towards other people. I got the courage to ask for help from my parents, and moved back home (several states away from where I was living). I started going back to church, paying my tithing, and following the teaching of the church; the chaos that I had in my life cleared up. The negativity disappeared and I became my normal, optimistic, perky self.

How I live my faith

Due to my cancer, I have had to be on a very strict diet; I now have a colostomy bag and had to have my entire stomach removed.....which is a great way to lose weight, but I wouldn't recommend it (haha). Because of the Word of Wisdom that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints follow (ie no alchohol, caffine, tabacco/section 89 in the Doctirine & Covenants) it has been easy to stick to the rules of my diet.
