Hi I'm Natalie

I'm from South Jordan, Utah, I'm studying to be a math teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in South Jordan, Utah. I am the youngest of 5, and I love being an aunt to my 7 nephews and 3 nieces! I grew up loving the water---I played water polo and swam for Kearns High School. I then went on to swim for the University of Utah for four years. I qualified for the olympic trials, but now I'm in Houston serving a mission! When I return home from my mission, I plan on finishing up my studies at the University of Utah, and I will graduate with a bachelor's in math. I hope to teach in middle or high school. I really want to help students know that math can be fun, that it can apply to their lives, but more importantly, I want my students to develop confidence in their ability to learn. I believe in putting children first--they will be our leaders someday. I absolutely love the outdoors, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, walking, swimming, you name it. I love doing it! Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes, I grew up in the church, but we all experience our own true conversion-- there is a time in life where you question: "do I really have a testimony? Or am I just saying what my parents believe?" I had this question while I was in college. It was here that I had to put my faith to the test. I knew that God answers prayers, and through this powerful tool (which was also my weakness), I can know the truth for myself. Through sincere prayer, I obtained my own testimony, piece by piece. Eventually, I realized something: we all knew these things once, long ago. It's like re-learning something you learnt in kindergarten: "oh, yeah! I knew that!" It's amazing how Heavenly Father answers our prayers--when you open your eyes and heart, you begin to see His hand in your life every single day. And you realize you've been getting answers all along--you don't need to feel an amazing warm sensation in your heart every single time. Answers come in many different ways, we just need to use our spiritual eyes and ears.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by consecrating my life to the Lord. I'm a full-time missionary, trying to serve and help the people in the Texas Houston Mission. I love it 100%.
