Hi I'm Janet

We've moved to many different communities in Arizona, finding an instant, loving "home" in each because of our church membership.

About Me

I am 73: a Grandmother and Great Grand mother. I was born into the Mormon church and have had marvelous faith promoting experiences that have helped me with the trials that have come into our lives. Knowing my Savior, Jesus Christ, is the greatest comfort and gift. He helps me to live in this harsh world. My hobbies are listening to music (Country, Jazz, Classical, Inspirational, Blue Grass, Christian popular) and playing the piano. I love collecting on my computer the pictures of our descendants. I have a large I-pod collection of favorite pieces of music. I read my scriptures every day and I also enjoy mystery novels. I have an interest in oil painting, have done a few I like. I have written a few songs and some poetry. I am fortunate to be the descendant of many historical ancestors. I realize I have to make my own mark, though and that is daunting!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the doctrine has answered every question I've ever had. The puzzle pieces all fit. A favorite poem is: " I know as much of God and the world as a creature with two eyes must. What I do understand I love and what I don't understand I TRUST." Carol Lynn Pearson

How I live my faith

I have accepted callings in the church every where we've lived. These include playing the piano for meetings, choirs, teaching in the womens' organization and in the young womens' organization. I have played volleyball in several different towns...loved that! :) I pray every day and usually keep a prayer in my heart. This is a world with many tragic situations and it is ever more important that we keep these prayers going and read the scriptures. Our Heavenly Father will keep us strong enough to stay clear of the evils, if we do our best and pray and read the good things.
