Hi I'm Kim

I am an Air Force wife, mother, and cosmetologist. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (I'm a Mormon)

About Me

I am an Air Force wife to my best friend. I am the mother of two beautiful (and a little crazy) boys. Ten days after my second was born I landed back in the hospital for major surgery to remove my appendix. This later left me with nearly two years of post-partum depression and anxiety. While my perspective on the world changed due to the darkness that whirled around me, I have learned there is so much more to life then all the little things we get so caught up in. I was forced to simplify in every aspect of my life and completely put all my trust and faith my Savior, Jesus Christ. The heartache I faced along with all of life's many trials has instilled in me hope in a loving Heavenly Father who desires happiness for me. I've had to fight for my self worth and the things that make up me. And I can say I have found joy and purpose in my life because of the strength and power I received from having faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I love being a wife and a mother. It has not always come easy to find joy in these but as I have worked for it the Lord has filled my heart with deep gratitude and happiness in them. I love to cook, sew, craft, sing, play the piano, write music, watch movies, exercise, eat yummy treats, disc golf, do hair, and hangout with friends. There is much joy to be had even in the simplest of life's moments. And I'm living proof of that.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose happiness. When I was younger my parents divorced. I had no one to turn to. I knelt down and prayed to my Heavenly Father. I turned to Him and He turned to me. I follow His commandments and live His gospel because I have found comfort, peace, strength, hope, and true joy. I am happy. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true. I have received confirmation through the Holy Ghost that it truly is the word of God. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He translated the Book of Mormon. He restored the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when he lived. I also have a testimony of Jesus Christ. He lived and lives today. He atoned for our sins and payed the ultimate price so that we might find happiness on this earth life, and one day live with God again. This is the only true church on the face of the earth, and I know with out a doubt in my mind that it is true. I have prayed and asked for myself and I know it is true. I continue to find happiness in it no matter the hardship that comes my way.

How I live my faith

"For with God nothing shall be impossible." -Luke 1:37 As I greet each day I strive to remember this simple truth. To align my heart, thoughts, and actions with the things God would have me do. When I do I feel His power within me. There may be times I do not fully understand His purposes for things but understanding this life on earth is a trial and test period where I have been given the opportunity to strengthen my faith gives me hope. I have faith in His plan for me and trust that He will guide me through this life and help me build a foundation for a better me. Surely God has not left my side as I have walked this path of life. I find my greatest strength to endure each day from Him.
