Hi I'm Joannie

I'm a Mormon. A full time student, active volunteer, non stop on the go stay at home mother of four beautiful children.

About Me

I am a very busy mother of four kiddos all under the age of 10. I am involved in everything that they do from cub scouts, school, sports and anything else they have the inclination to try! I am also a non traditional full time college student. I believe that you can never have enough knowledge and you are never to old to be in school! In my spare time, or rather the time I set aside for fun, I love to be outdoors with my family whether it be camping, hiking, fishing, or just going on a spontaneous picnic! We actively teach our children about our nation's national parks and the importance of balance in life. I believe strongly in community and that many hands make light work so I try to do my part whatever that might be - I love helping and serving others!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are and were Mormon when I was born so I grew up in the church, but that is not why I am a Mormon. I choose to be a Mormon. I choose this because of the strength and support it gives me to be the kind of person I want to be. My relationship with God is of the utmost importance to me as it is directly connected to the relationship with my spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends and everyone in between. Family is the most important thing to me in my life and that is a huge part of the religion. I base my choice of religion not on books, talks, opinions, or ideas, but on the confirmation I get from the Holy Spirit that I am making the right choice for myself. I know that if this is sought after sincerely by anyone God will give you the confirmation of the answer you seek.

How I live my faith

I have spent a lot of time working with the children in my various wards. I have taught young kids from eighteen months to eleven years old. I love to see the spiritual growth of children and I am constantly inspired to do more and to do it the best that I can for these sweet kids. I recently have become involved in the Cub Scout program within the church and I have been amazed at the opportunities in the program for these young boys! I am a big believer in the importance of this program and the morals as well as values that it teaches.
