Hi I'm Lani

I was raised in the church. Married a non-member who joined the church after 6 years of marriage. We have 7 children.

About Me

I am a mother of 7 children. The oldest of which started college this year and the youngest is 4. Needless to say I am super busy! I love to quilt! I have owned a quilt shop in the past and currently own a more family friendly business, Kettle Corn. YUMMM I am super involved in my kids education. I have worked at the elementary where my children as a subsitute teacher. I have no college education but feel raising children is an education of it's own. I love to be where I can feel the hot sun even though I live where it is cold most of the time. Our family vacations are most often somewhere close to a beach so I can thaw out. We love to spend time together and laugh together.

Why I am a Mormon

While a teenager, I fell away from the church. After marrying and starting my family, I realized what I had given up. I started attending church again. I knew that I wanted my children sealed to my husband and I. I wondered if I had given up that opportunity by marrying a non-member. After 6 years of marriage, 3 daughters and many prayers, my husband was baptised. I realize now that I did not marry the wrong person. That my Heavenly Father knows me very personally. He knew what I needed in my life to help me see what is important. He knew that my husband would join the church, even if I didn't. We have been sealed in the temple and I know that I will have my family with me forever. This is one of the greatest blessings of the gospel. I live to serve my Heavenly Father. I know that nothing I do will ever repay the gift of the atonement. However it is the only way for me to show my gratitude. My Savior Jesus Christ, died on the cross for me. I am a mormon because I believe in my core that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ upon the earth today!

How I live my faith

The best way for me to live my faith is by serving. I have worked with the children, youth and women of the church. I love to serve and share that service with others. I try to teach my children that you show your love by serving others. Wether it is a friend in need or a total stranger.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Lani
Absolutely! Most christians today believe in the bible. The bible is full of prophets that God sent to help guide His children. Most christians also believe that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If this is the case then why wouldn't we have have a prophet today. God loves all His children the same and wants us all to return and live with Him. Our prophet today is Thomas S. Monson he gives much needed council and guidence in a very confusing world.
