Hi I'm Hannah

I grew up in Alaska, I'm a musician, I'm a teacher, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

After growing up as the youngest of four in a small Alaskan town, I am now in the Midwest fulfilling my passion for music by pursing a degree in Music Education. When I'm not playing percussion, I love hiking with my dog, cooking, reading, and playing softball.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up a member of the church, I still had to develop my own testimony of Christ's gospel. Although there are many reasons I am a member of the church, one experience that stands out happened when I was 14 and my parents were going through a divorce- I was caught right in the middle of everything. As I struggled with my own feelings of loneliness and confusion, I got down on my knees daily and pleaded with the Lord for comfort. One particularly hard night, as I knelt to pray, I felt the love of the Savior engulf me in a way that I could never deny. I knew right then and there that Heavenly Father knew me by name, and loves me in a way I have yet to fully understand.

How I live my faith

In addition to reading the scriptures and praying every day, I attend church every Sunday, teach a Sunday School class every other week, serve on the Student Council for our Institute of Religion, and visit teach several sisters from our congregation every month.
