Hi I'm Scott & Ashley

We grew up in Washington State. We've been married about four years. We have two kids, and Scott is in law school. We are Mormon.

About Me

We have been married to for about 4 years, and we have 2 amazing kids that we love. Scott is in his second year of law school and can't wait to be done, while Ashley stays home with the kids for now. We have lived in Nebraska for just over a year now, but we still miss the Northwest!

Why I am a Mormon

Scott's answer: I was born into the Mormon church, but after years of being told it was the true church and that it was where I was supposed to be, I decided I'd rather know for myself than just go with the crowd I was born in to. When I was fourteen years old, I was challenging myself to read the Book of Mormon and really figure out if it was true. I read some parts that I thought made sense...they were about baptism and things like that. I realized I needed to pray to God and determine from Him whether this was all true or not--whether there was more to life and if this was it. As I prayed I truly felt that God was communicating with me...not like a voice from heaven, but a small thought, as if from above. It was telling me that the Book of Mormon was true, that its teachings were true. I knew then that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church on the earth, Christ's church.

How I live my faith

We try every day to keep in mind the meaning of life and why we are here. We try to live in a way to benefit those around us, especially for our kids, and to find true happiness together. Scott worsk hard to make a living for the whole family, but he makse sure to make time for God and Jesus as well. Ashley also does everything she can to raise the kids with an eye towards our purpose in life. We find having pictures of Christ and the temple up in our home can help be daily reminders of our goal in life.
