Hi I'm Lucas

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I'm a missionary serving in Indianapolis, Indiana. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I love my parents, my one talented brother, and two beautiful sisters. I like to build and fix computers. I cherish times that our families can be together. Currently I'm serving as a missionary in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church, and I was baptized when I was 8 years old. There came a point in my life where I asked myself that same question, Why am I a Mormon? I leaned on my parents testimony throughout my life, but you can only live on borrowed light so far. I had to find out for myself of what I have been taught all my life was true. I took the challenge of reading and praying about the Book of Mormon seriously than just reading bits and parts. I had an experience in my youth when I was reading the Book of Mormon for the first time. I don't remember the exact part but I remember I was reading and an overpowering feeling came over me that I started crying uncontrollably. I finally got recouped and overtime I learned that was the power of the Holy Ghost bearing witness to me that what I was reading was true. My testimony as been strengthened again and again as I've had similar experiences with the Book of Mormon. I have seen blessings for keeping the commandments, and how that brings peace of conscience and true happiness. I know that anyone that reads the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart, and an unbiased view of it can know the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon for themselves too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith now by serving our Heavenly Father's children on a mission. I live it by letting others know the truthfulness of the restored gospel by sharing with them my testimony of the Book of Mormon. We invite others to come unto Him. I love to serve others in any way possible, by looking for unplanned acts of service.
