Hi I'm Sally

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother of four children. I own my own real estate business and love helping people find the perfect home for their families. I love to cook. I love reading classic lit. I love camping, hiking and going on road trips with my family. I have a passion for teaching. I love throwing parties. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized when I was 8 years old. I was taught principles of the Gospel from a very young age. My parents are very dedicated and faithful disciples of Christ and their examples supported me throughout my childhood years. As a teenager, the pressures and temptations to stray from gospel principles were such that I knew I needed to increase my personal commitment. I felt a gradual love for the gospel growing in my heart but really felt my testimony blossom when I left home and started college. I love Jesus Christ. I know he is my Savior. I know he is aware of me and knows me. As I study and follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ I become a better, more Christ-like person. I am an independent person and sometimes try to do too much on my own-forgetting that God has a plan for me, that He's the one in charge. When I allow myself to be led by God I can do great things! We all have a purpose in life and we all have a place in God's plan. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints helps me understand that plan. The teachings found in our church bring me great peace. They fill my life with meaning and purpose and most importantly, they encourage me to reach beyond myself and serve all of God's children.

How I live my faith

Service is a big part of our church. We have many volunteer opportunities and are also given specific jobs to do. One of the service opportunities I have is working with the youth. I teach lessons and plan fun activities like dances, camps, and youth conferences. My favorite people to serve, however, are my husband and children. I love teaching my children the gospel. One of my favorite things to do is to plan family devotionals. We read scriptures every morning and then once a week we have a fun family night with a lesson, a game or activity and of course, a yummy treat! While this may sound simple, the biggest way I try to live my faith is by being nice to those around me. If I truly believe that following the teachings of Jesus is plan for this life (and I do) then I should start by trying to treat others the way he did. My faith is deep in my heart but I feel it most strongly as I serve, study, pray and love.
