Hi I'm Amber

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an online math teacher to fantastic 6th graders! I love to run, bike, cook, and read in my free time. I am a mother of 2 very special boys (ages 8 and 10.) I absolutely relish the time I am able to spend with my 2 boys and my husband. We enjoy spending time outdoors as a family and also look forward to weekly "movie nights!"

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a strong testimony that this is Christ's church on the earth today. I am a very analytical individual and like things to make sense. All decisions that I choose to make as a Latter Day Saint make sense to me (both in my heart and in my brain.) I have had personal revelation that the Lord is happy with the life that I am living (even though I can always do better and try harder.) I know that God loves me and wants the best for me. I know that living the gospel principles will bring me the most happiness in the long run. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and know that it is a true testament. I feel very fortunate to have the church in my life, it's principles and teachings have brought me so much peace and joy!

How I live my faith

I attend church each week to get spiritually fed. I love my ward family! I currently am working in the Young Women's program as the secretary. I love working with the young girls and seeing their testimonies grow! I also serve as a visiting teacher. I get to visit and serve other women in my ward by checking in on them month to month and helping them out in any way that I can. My husband and I try our best to teach the gospel principles in our home to our beautiful children. One way that we do this is by having weekly Family Home Evening. This is a time that we pray together, have a fun activity, eat a tasty treat, and learn about one particular gospel principle (which changes week to week.) We also pray and read scriptures together daily as a family. I continue to strive to have a home in which the spirit is abundant and where my kids feel safe and loved.
