Hi I'm Amy

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love running, music, and seeing others smile. : )

About Me

I have an office job during the day and teach my wonderful piano and organ students in the evenings, and I also accompany a regional choir of members of the LDS Church. I also love to run and am running a half marathon soon. I have a passion for church music and enjoy learning about others' worship experiences and perspectives on life. I also love to arrange and compose music, particularly when working with the hymns and other worship music.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family and want to be with them forever, and being a member of this church paves the way for that to happen as I prepare myself and perform ordinances in the temple. I also feel the strength and warmth of the Lord's Spirit as I participate in church meetings, church music, and temple worship. Heavenly Father has blessed me immensely as I strive to be obedient to His commandments, and I love that everything we do in the Church glorifies Him and Jesus Christ. I also love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of my testimony of the Book of Mormon. It's a powerful and true additional testimony of Jesus Christ, and my understanding of God's plan for me increases as I read it along with the Bible. I feel the Spirit as I ponder and live the teachings of ancient and modern prophets and apostles, and even though I enjoy learning about others' beliefs and adding the good there to my life, I find the greatest truth and fullness in this church. The power of the priesthood is very real in my life as worthy, inspired, good men act in Jesus' name, administering ordinances, giving blessings, and guiding us.

How I live my faith

I strive to prayerfully study both the Bible and Book of Mormon every morning; it's the best start to my day. I also get to serve as the organist in my church congregation, and I was recently extended the position to plan cultural arts events in the wider church area. I am also pianist and organist for the Mormon Chorale, a regional choir of Latter-day Saints. I'm so grateful for my talents and blessings, and I feel peace and strength, and happiness as I use them to bless others and thank the Giver of all good things. : )
