Hi I'm Julie

I'm a sixth generation Texan, and yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sixth generation Texan. I graduated from Texas A&M University, class of '08, and eventually served a full time mission for the Church and am now working in Arizona. I love being active! I enjoy running, hiking, racquetball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, you name it. Being single, I keep in touch with my rather large family and cherish my relationships with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I developed a testimony at a very young age where I can distinctly remember feeling and knowing that Jesus is the Christ, the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet to restore the fulness of the truth. However, I did do a lot of questioning and searching through prayer, reading the Book of Mormon, and attending church. Gradually through my life and through different challenges, that faith and trust in the Lord has grown. I often feel peace, which is my greatest joy.

How I live my faith

My faith isn't something I do one day out of the week or some of the time. It has become who and what I am. I continually try to let my faith in Jesus Christ show in my everyday actions even though I am not perfect at it. Currently at church I coordinate and oversee the visiting teaching of the women, which is how we look after and take care of each other. I assign each women with a partner and who they should visit to make sure they are spiritually uplifted each month and that they are cared for in time of need. I myself visit certain women that I am assigned to and have come to love and care for each of them. I also attend Sacrament and Sunday school classes on Sunday and a scripture study class on another day of the week. Other times I go to activities with friends to enjoy good wholesome activities.
