Hi I'm Cait

I'm a sophomore in college studying communications. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. It is my life. I am planning on going into the music business. I want to do more of the behind the scenes stuff. Something like producing or songwriting. I really want to make music better because my life has been changed by it. It can uplift and inspire. Another interest of mine is sharks. I know, it's random, and so weird. If the whole music thing doesn't work out, I think I might give marine biology a try. Everyone out there has some crazy goals in life, right? My goal is to open a school somewhere in Africa. I don't know why I have a connection with Africa, but I do!! So, that's me in a nutshell.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life, so I really don't know anything different. I never fallen away from the Church. I've never even questioned it. I've been living on my own for a little over a year now and I've had some real growing experiences. I had some really rough times, and the only way I made it through was by turning to the Lord. I've learned to put all of my faith in Him. I've learned one of the most important things you can do is pray like you are talking to your dad, or best friend. God is your Heavenly Father, He knows everything that is happening in your life, but He wants to hear it from you! He hears and answers your prayers. You have to have patience and faith. In the past few months I have really noticed a change in my spiritual level by leaning on the Lord and His gospel. I know that God hears and answers prayers. I know that He is the ultimate being and He knows each one of us personally. I know that we were created in God's image. I know that He loves us and that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the perfect example. I know that Christ died so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that through the Atonement we can be forgiven of all our sins. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the true church and translate the Book of Mormon. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that if we follow Christ and keep His commandments that we will return to live with Him again. I am so glad that I have the gift of the gospel. I can't imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving on the Temple and Family History committee in my ward. We help the ward members do family history so that when we have temple days, we can perform the sacred ordinances for their deceased relatives. We also teach a family history class that covers all of the church's tools for helping with geneology.
