Hi I'm Jantaya Headman

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and the youngest of 7 children. I have been raised in the gospel all of my life and have never regretted a second of it. Because I have been raised in such a big family we have learned to love each other and to help each other out when needed. I have been taught to help people in need and that is exactly what I do. I am a dancer and have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I teach dance to children ages 2-8 and I love everything about it. I also am going to school to get my degree in dance education. My goal in life is to be a high school dance teacher to teach others about dance who never had the chance to learn about it. Not only am I a dance teacher I am also a nanny of the sweetest almost 2 year old triplets and have been for about a year. I love this job because it is teaching me everything I could need to be a mom and I get to have a smile put on my face each day just by being with them.

Why I am a Mormon

Every Sunday that I go to Church I have a warm feeling that goes threw my entire body. This feeling is the Holy Ghost telling me that what I am hearing is true. When ever I listen to General Conference and hear the messages that they have you can see it in their eye's that they mean every word they speak. I love our standards we have. I am asked often you don't drink? You don't party? I tell them no I don't. I like to be able to wake up in the morning and remember what I had done the night before. I believe every standard we are to live by is to make our lives easier. If I do what I know what is right my day's go by so much smoother than if I didn't.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have two callings. One is a ward missionary where I get to welcome anyone who comes to my ward. If I see anyone who looks like they are alone or out of their comfort zone that's when I step in. My job is to befriend them, but I don't befriend them because I have to, I do it because I want to. I also get to teach the lesion in gospel principles every once in a while and of course it is nerve racking but I love it! There is no better way for my faith to grow stronger than to teach the lesion on Sunday's. I am also the additional relief society coordinator. This calling I get to plan activity's for my relief society that we can do to be able to bond with each other. I love this calling the most because I get to meet the sister's in my ward and to be able to befriend them better.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Jantaya Headman
You can find someone to talk to about the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints by going to mormon.org and finding a church building near you. It will then tell you the bishop's name and phone number. If you call him he would be able to get you to meet with the missionaries. Another way is by going to the temple where missionaries are there to talk to. Show more Show less
