Hi I'm Bill

I enjoy backpacking, fishing, and scuba diving when I can make time from my employment as an electronics engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my sweet wife for 40+ years and have seven children and 18 grand kids. I have been involved in the Boy Scouts of America since I turn 12 years old and became a scout myself. I have worked for 40+ years as an electronics engineer design all sorts of electronic circuits for many different applications. The last 11 years I have worked for myself as an electronic design consultant. This has given me the time and freedom to pursue my hobbies of backpacking, fishing, and scuba diving. I have also enjoyed gardening over the last 40 years. While I have not always been successful with every thing that I have planted, I enjoy the challenge of planting and watching the new plants grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a very strong testimony of the fact that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he received direct communication from our Father in Heaven including the visits of various heavenly messengers. I believe that one of these messengers gave Joseph the original "Golden Plates" from which he translated the Book of Mormon. I have a very strong belief that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. The biggest influence that the Church has in my life directly is the strong teachings that the the most sacred organization in the world is the family unit. The happiest times of my life have been when surrounded by my children and grandchildren. I firmly believe as taught by Mormon Doctrine that the one organization that will last into the eternities will be the Family. Together with my loving eternal wife, we will be able to associate in some manner with our fore-bearers and off-spring throughout the eternities to come after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest each day to live the commandments taught by the Savior Jesus Christ while he was here on the earth during his mortal ministry and subsequently via the scriptures.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Bill
A strong and loving family is the best foundation for any society to be based on. Loving parents and teach and mold children in a manner that will produce productive members of society so that the next generation can become much greater than the current generation. To paraphrase Albert Einstein "If I have been a good parent to my children, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of my wonderful parents" Show more Show less
