Hi I'm Christopher

Born in Iowa, I live, work and play in Puyallup Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Married with four kids, two are married. Owned a business for 14 years before returning to workforce after economic downturn. Favorite sport to play is racquetball. Favorite sport to watch is soccer. I have climbed mountains and run marathons but not because I'm a leader, rather I like to follow good examples and be taught by good leaders.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was nineteen. The missionaries answered my questions and taught me the gospel discussions. Then they asked me to pray about what I was taught and I received an answer that what they were teaching me was true. I believe that if God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow then when He wants His children to hear His words it should come through modern prophets and apostles just as in ancient times. I know Jesus Christ is my savior and the redeemer of the world and that through His atonement and resurrection and temple ordinances I can live with Him forever with my family. I believe that faith without works is dead and that means I must do all I can to do what's right and then the atonement of Jesus Christ is sufficient to make up for my shortcomings. My tesimony that the the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the eternal perspective that this can give has helped me deals with life's challenges.

How I live my faith

I schedule appointments for our bishop. I contact several familes each month and try to help them with their needs. I love my family so much and I want us to be a forever family so I pray each day to become a better husband and father and try to teach my family gospel principles. I pray each day for the Lord's guidance and for safety and protection and strength to keep the commandments.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We don't worship Joseph Smith. He was the first modern day prophet and president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He died as a martyr defending his beliefs. We worship Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and thank them for restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
