Hi I'm Audrey

I'm a happily married mother of six. I enjoy biking, hiking, singing, cooking, camping and reading with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being the mom. I sew dress-ups, aprons, skirts, jammie pants, quilts, etc... by the light of the moon. (when kids are in bed!) I'm kind of old fashioned, in that I enjoy cooking, staying out of debt, and canning vegetables and fruits from our garden. We hike and camp a lot as a family, and I sing really loud when I'm in a good mood. "Oh Mom!--You're not in the Tabernacle Choir!" I sneak time into my day to read story books, or play games with my family. It's a good thing I enjoy cooking, because I do a lot of it! Me and my husband try to go on regular dates. When we don't make it out, we laugh, and read books or play a quick game together before falling into bed.

Why I am a Mormon

With 6 children, and busy husband, my life feels frantic at times. Having an eternal perspective, and focusing on the things that are important in the long run helps me not to get overwhelmed with the day-to-day challenges. I know that my Savior knows me. Not only that, but I know that He loves me. Me! I don't have to do anything to be worthy of his love. I pray to him many times each day, as I strive to do His will. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. My prayers are answered as I read the words of God. I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth, and that he speaks for God! Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to have peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I team-teach the 16-18 year olds Sunday School each week. My calling requires that I "do my homework" and study the scriptures, and the words from our modern day prophets for preparation. I love teaching. It is a challenge, but I am so blessed as I continue to do so. I am also a visiting teacher for three sisters who live in my ward.
