Hi I'm Betsy

I grew up in Texas. I am a stay-at-home mom of four beautiful children, an Army wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of four children; Emily, Libby, Jack, and Henry. My husband is in the Army, and I love the opportunities to see new places and to stay home with my children. It is a hard job but I wouldn't trade it! I love to cook, but dishes are my enemy. I love knitting, sewing, and crocheting. I'm a terrible housekeeper but I am trying to be better. I am a work in progress. We have been married for ten years, Aaron and I, we met when we were young, we married young, and we have grown up together. Someday we'd like to settle here in Washington state, but we will see what the future holds. I'm also a natural birth junkie, and am big on "natural parenting" however I can. I am a huge breastfeeder (feel free to message me if you help/have questions) and I am an aspiring midwife. Someday, when my babies are older, I'll pursue that dream.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, but never knowing any different, I took it for granted. As an adult, I spent about 2 years pretending I wasn't a Mormon. I think if I didn't know of the Gospel, I would have been happy and just fine. But knowing of the Gospel, I felt the need to constantly excuse my behavior. I knew I wasn't living the life I'd committed to, and yet when I had been living the Gospel, I never felt that need. Recommitting myself to the Gospel through the Atonement is the best decision I have ever made. I know that it blesses all of us and that our lives are richer because of it. I love this Gospel. I love the Relief Society. I love my Heavenly Father, and I know He loves me.

How I live my faith

One day at a time. :)
