Hi I'm Scott

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Mesa, Arizona with my wife Keshia. We have been married for 4 years this coming March. We were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple for time and all eternity. I am a young college student pursuing Physical Therapy as my major. I am a returned missionary from the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. I am a Dad.... my wife and my first born child was born a few months ago, however do to complication after birth our beautiful little boy Jackson lived for a few short hours. There is no words in the human languages that can describe the hurt and heartache of losing a child. We have however have been the recipient of many kind words and acts of service. On a lighter note, I do like sports, I play soccer and basketball and when the fall season rolls around I am a hardcore college football fan. I don't have any one team I absolutely like but enjoy watching the good games of football.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving Mormon family. From a very young age I was taught the gospel teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I attended the church services on a regular basis and know that from those teachings and careful raising of my parents I was able to steer clear of many hardships as a young man. Still every person has to gain their own personal testimony of Jesus Christ and his Atonement. I had graduated High school from the small town of Snowflake, Arizona and was working full time to save up money to serve a mission for the Church. I had had many little moments of testimony experiences growing up but nothing more powerful came to me then while I was preparing in that last year before my mission. I was on a Handcart Trek with my stake and during a time given to each of us to be alone and reflect on the things we had learned I was given a letter from my Dad that he had written for me to read while out on this experience. Now I thought I knew that my Heavenly Father loved me but I can not truly describe how I felt from reading this letter from my Dad. My Dad had written it but when I read it I felt as though these words were coming from my Father in Heaven to me. I wept and felt so much joy to know that He, Heavenly Father, loved me. Enough to use the words of my earthly father to speak to my heart. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that I am important to His plan on earth. I know that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world and Atoned for my sins. I love the Gospel and it's teachings. Joseph Smith was the prophet of the restoration and through him the Lord's church was restored to the earth. The Book of Mormon is true and Testifies along with the Bible that Christ is the Savior. I share these truths in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently a youth leader. I have the great opportunity to teach lessons a few times a month to the young men of my ward. I love to share my experiences and testimony to them about the love of Christ. I get the awesome chance to help out in young men activities such as service projects for our community whether it be cleaning up alleyways or mowing lawns or playing some kind of sport or camping with them, it is a great learning experience for me as well as my young men. I love working with the youth and having the opportunity to be a source of light for them. It helps me live my Faith better and more sincere. It helps me check my actions and how I live my life.
