Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time stay-at-home mom of 3 children, all under the age of 6. I have a degree in Elementary Education, which has been really useful in raising my children. Teaching children is what I love to do. I teach piano lessons and also enjoy playing the flute. I'm a goal-oriented person. Right now some of my goals are to learn to play the violin and run a half-marathon. I am currently working towards both of those. One of my favorite things to do after the kids go to bed is to open up a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

The bottom line of why I am a Mormon is that I believe that it is Jesus Christ's church on the earth today. I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents took us to church every Sunday and taught us in our home. Although I grew up in the church, we are encouraged in our religion to find out for ourselves if what we are being taught is true. I have sought for the truth and prayed to the Lord for answers. The powerfully positive feelings I have gotten time and time again as I read the Book of Mormon and attend church tell me that it is of God. Being a part of His church feels so good it is indescribable. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that he restored His church to the earth today through the prophet Joseph Smith. We have a prophet on the earth today who leads and guides the church under the direction of Jesus Christ. It is so wonderful to be a part of His church and to know why we are here on this earth and what we need to do to return to our Heavenly Father someday. I can't imagine living my life without this church. It brings so much meaning to my life. It has helped me be a better wife, mom, and person. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to do my best every day to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ. I do this with the hope that one day I can return to live with my Father in Heaven again and that I can help others do this as well. I pray to the Lord to help me be a better person every day. I try to find opportunities to serve and help others, especially my family. I love to teach my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am also fortunate enough that I get to teach the children ages 3-12 at our church on Sundays. They are a delight to work with and it feels good to know that I am helping them.
