Hi I'm Tom

I was raised on a farm in Ohio. My dad also had a motorcycle shop. I'm a retired factory worker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born on a small farm in Ohio. We were raised to be good, honest people but for the most part we did not go to church. Most of my life I worked in a factory or helped my father with his farm or motorcycle shop. I am retired now. My pass times include Church, Master Gardening, Toastmasters and Parliamentarians.

Why I am a Mormon

As I grew into adulthood I thought I should be getting married but I did not have anyone in mind. Some of my coworkers married girls they met in bars but that didn't work out to well as the girls kept going back to the bars finding new men even after they were married. A better method I felt would be to join a church preferablely one that did not drink. The Morman church had always fascinated me so I looked up in the number in the phone book and called. I found out where and when they met and went to church. The missionaries gave me a Book of Mormon. I read it in a few days and knew it was true. That was in 1981 and I have been an active member ever since. Yes, I did find my wife there and we recently celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary.

How I live my faith

Over the past 36 years I have served in various positions in the church from teaching to administration. All of it has helped me to grow and understand Heavenly Father's plan for my life. I know that Heavenly Father loves His children and wants each of us find joy in our lives. Currently I work with less active members and non members learning about the church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and only church authorized to do God's work on earth. Yes, I am a Mormon.
