Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a California native. My wife and two boys love it here. I work in downtown L.A. doing desktop support. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most of my life was spent here in Southern California. I enjoy surfing with my old man and brother in law. I enjoy working with technology... learning how it works, and enjoy reading up on new technologies that come out or are to come in the future. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two toddler boys. When time permits I enjoy the occasional movie or video game with other family members and friends. I am glad to be able to continue working with the Boy Scouts of America program as an assistant scout master and enjoy going camping with the youth of my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church. The great examples I had in my life allowed me to see how happy you can be by choosing to live by standards that are not always the most popular, however living by those standards provide great blessings. I have read and studied the teachings in the Book of Mormon and have also come to know that the ancient writings in this book are true. Through living by the examples of the prophets in this book and through thoughtful prayer to my Father in Heaven I came to know that my Heavenly Father loves me dearly, and that he provided an organization which is lead today by a living Prophet who speaks with Him regularly. That organization is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and it provides a path for me to become clean and to better myself. It is through my service in His church and helping others to also discover this Love that our Heavenly Father has for each of us that I find my greatest joys.

How I live my faith

I participate in my Ward as the Young Men's President. Each Wednesday we get together to discuss various scouting activities and camping trips. I help guide our youth in various service projects and faith promoting activities as I teach them, work with them, and serve with them. The Young Men know how to have lots of fun and it is great to be able to share with them some of the things I learned as a scout as well. On Sundays I am again able to spend time with the Young Men to teach them and help them discover how they too are loved by their Heavenly Father. My kids enjoy going to church too, they enjoy singing songs and learning basic gospel principles and the same standards I learned and continue to learn. Once a month I try to go with my wife to our Holy Temple where we remember and renew our promises we made to the Lord to live his Gospel. It is a great place to contemplate and bring questions and concerns to which I often have received answers and inspiration.
