Hi I'm Travis

I'm a husband, soon to be father, and a business student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from California and have lived in every southwestern state. I moved to AZ almost 3 years ago where I met my wife. We are expecting our first child in December and we couldn't be more excited. I love all sports. I used to teach snowboarding, played football in high school, played city league baseball, and currently play city league softball. I am in college studying business.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, both of my parents were Mormon. Being raised in the Mormon church had its benefits, but luckily my parents raised me to think for myself and make my own choices. While growing up I certainly made mistakes, but I always had a strong feeling that the Mormon church was true. I decided to be baptized and eventually served a 2 year mission in Brazil. The reason I have stayed with the church throughout my life has not always been because of my testimony of it. I believe strongly that the family structure is extremely important. The Mormon church promotes strong family values all of which are centered in Jesus Christ. I have now been married for almost two years and have a son, our first, on the way. It is a huge comfort to know that I have the tools, knowledge, and support to raise a family in a world with diminishing values. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true and that we can grow closer to each other and our Heavenly Father by living the teachings of Christ. We all have our challenges in life. Through living prophets we can know what to do.

How I live my faith

I have held a number of service jobs in the Mormon church. I was privileged to serve a two year mission in Brazil. Since then I have worked in the Primary, teaching children from 2-8 years old every Sunday. It has been such a joy to teach children about Jesus Christ and His teachings.
