Hi I'm Taelor

I love to laugh. I'm on a mission in Tucson, Arizona waiting for my visa to Florianopolis, Brazil. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey everyone. My name is Taelor. I am excited to go serve a mission down in Brazil, but I am currently on a reassignment in Tucson, Arizona until I obtain my visa to Brasil. I love to share with everyone I meet the truth of our Heavenly Father and our eldest brother Jesus Christ who gave his life for us. I love to talk to people. I love to learn about different people and their lives. I am a great listener, and learning is my favorite thing to do. Through reading the scriptures daily, I get to learn everything that our Heavenly Father wants us to learn and I've learned to apply the scriptures into my life. The scriptures offer a peace in this world that nothing else can. Ask me ANYTHING and I'll gladly share. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, which can be difficult in some ways. I was always surrounded with the truth and as a child it is easy to just "go with the flow" of my family. I never really had that strong feeling that the church is true. It came over many many years of studying the scriptures, praying daily, and attending church ever week. Because of the choices I made every day, I came to know without a doubt in my mind that the church was true. This gospel brings so many blessings to my life, I can't even begin to describe the joy it has brought me. There were some sister missionaries that served in my ward when I was just a young girl and they loved the gospel so much, that I wanted to become just like them. Because of their examples of being worthy humble servants of our Savior Jesus Chrsit, I am now serving a mission too. I bring the gospel to those who "know not the love of God," and I bring back to rememberance of those who have fallen away from the path.

How I live my faith

Through the choices I make daily, I know that I am heading on, or even away, from the path of righteousness. Being kind, and understanding towards people is what I love. I always try to help others, even if it conflicts with my personal plans for something. I rarely turn down a service opportunity, and through my callings, I'm able to help others come back to the fold, or to stay on the path towards our Heavenly Father.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

The way you dress, act and what you say speaks volumes about you. When you first meet someone, what is the first thing you notice? How they dress. If, for example, you see a guy with his pants around his knees, a really baggy shirt and he's slouched over, I think "punk" and don't really see him for who he his. Dressing modestly shows others that you respect your body, and that you are professional. Same goes with how you treat people and speak to them. Parents can teach their children that their bodies are a sacred gift from our Heavenly Father and we are only given one. Only two-thirds of God's children were allowed these sacred bodies and we should treat them as the best thing ever, because they are Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Members are everywhere. There are a few ways to find someone to talk to. One great way is to find two guys wearing white shirts, ties, and name tags. They travel in pairs and are the missionaries. There are also sister missionaries. They also travel in pairs and wear name tags. Their dress is more conservative than the people around them. Ask them anything you want, and they will love your enthusiasm. You can also go to the lds.org website and there is a link to find a church building near you. If you go there on a sunday, you are bound to find a member to ask your questions. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Throughtout the scriptures, they give examples of things that show us there is a God. In the Book of Mormon, a prophet declares that "all things denote there is a God." Could all this world exist without a supreme being, known only as our Loving Heavenly Father. The stars in the sky, the sun that shines on your face, the trees that give us shade, the birds and fishes. Everything shows that God is there and he cares about us. He cares and loves us so much he GAVE us this life. Show more Show less
