Hi I'm Ashlee

I love people and cultures. I love sports. I love the outdoors. I love peanut butter ice-cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small, farming community in central Washington. After high school I attended college at BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Jerusalem, and then BYU-Provo. During my college years I also traveled to Romania to serve in a hospital, orphanage and foundation. I also traveled to Peru with my father and sister for a 2 week humanitarian mission. After all that excitement, I started on another journey...I married my best friend. About a year later we had our first daughter, and now, 8 more years have passed and we have 3 daughters and 1 son. We have moved back to the small community that I grew up in, where my husband has started his own construction company. We love the people of this community and we love the lifestyle that the "country life" can bring.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I have had many questions regarding faith, Christ and religion; and every time that I have sincerely taken my matters up with God through prayer, I have experienced an overwhelming joy. Sometimes it has required me to study, ponder, and pray ALOT. I have had questions about Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon, the way the Church is organized and how the Holy Ghost communicates; and when I sincerely pray, my prayers have always been answered. Although I have, and still am, learning bit by bit, I can now recognize when the Holy Spirit is apart of me and when it is, no words can express the love I feel for everyone around me, and the joy that I experience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an instrument in the Lord's hands that He can use whenever needed in my family, in my community and in the congregation that I meet with. I also hope to have more opportunity to serve God's children throughout the world.
