Hi I'm Taylor

I am a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo. I love teaching kickboxing. I love learning. AND I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Moving around has been a big part of my life. With each move, I have been given the opportunity to experience what life can bring you in many different places and through interactions with many different people. I have had many chances to try and experience different activities which have helped to shape who I am today. Taekwondo and kickboxing have become an important part of my life, it is not only something that I train in and teach, but it has also helped to shape me and to give me confidence, determination, perseverance and strength in many other aspects of my life. Through my martial arts training I have acquired many vastly different skills which have transferred over to other parts of my life. I have been able to explore other avenues and to realize the importance that art and dentistry play in my life. Art gives me an opportunity to express myself and to try new things. My passion and interest in dentistry has allowed me to push myself—studying long and hard hours, volunteering my time within this field, and helping others to gain greater confidence by creating better and happier smiles! Basically, I love to try new things, to explore what life has to offer and to give to those around me by using my talents and interests. I know that because of my many experiences, I have come to appreciate all that God has given us on this earth and all that he allows us to do and to experience. Everything has been given to us for our good!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home that taught the truths of the gospel. Because of this, I developed a desire to learn for myself that this church is true. When I left home and went off to college, I came to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God. I studied the Book of Mormon, I prayed to my Father in Heaven and I received answers; answers that told me this book is true and this church is the true church of God. I have had many major life decisions which have given me an opportunity to continue to exercise my faith—to trust in the Lord and allow him to answer my prayers. I love that we have been given an opportunity to draw nearer unto our Heavenly Father through prayer, scripture study, and living a life full of meaning. I know that my meaning in life comes from desiring to do the will of the Lord. I know that this church is true because I have exercised my faith in the Lord and have researched this church by reading the Book of Mormon and by praying to the Lord and by following the commandments and guidance he has given us. My continued faith and my continued efforts to follow the modern day prophets reaffirm to me every day that I have made the correct choice to be an active member of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by letting others see the light of Christ in me. I try to serve those around me in many different ways. I constantly strive to be a friend to people; a friend that others know they can talk to and confide in, a friend that they know they can always ask for help. By being a good friend and by serving others, I know that I am doing what that Lord wants me to do and I am helping others to feel the love of God. Service helps us to become perfected. It is through serving that we can accomplish the work of the Lord and we can refine ourselves and continually strive to be better. I hope that through my actions, others can see that I know this church is true and that they will desire to know for themselves. I want to be the best example of my beliefs, of my knowledge—Gods sent his son on this earth to be the perfect example for us and that we have an opportunity on this earth to learn and to grow and to perfect ourselves so that we will understand that Jesus Christ died for us so that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven again.
